TEMPORARY Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist

Full Time, Monday - Friday (6 Month Assignment)

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

The Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for substantially assisting the the Accounts Payable and Payroll Coordinator with all Payroll and Accounts Payable functions for the hospital. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with managing facility's automated time and attendance system (Kronos)
  • Assist with managing Kronos master files to ensure that employee time records are calculated in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Assist with accurately keying any approved changes or manual entries to time records.
  • Assist with executing transfer of time records from Kronos to payroll. Balance and verify interface as necessary.
  • Assist Accounts Payable and Payroll Coordinator as necessary.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelors or associates degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of experience in AP and Payroll processing

Certifications/Licensure

  • None

Other Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, skills in writing and in working with statistical data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
