We are seeking a logical and results-focused Foundry Engineer to join the Hensley Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Engineer will be responsible in using Komatsu QC Tools to collect, analyze, present, and act on data and metrics captured throughout any foundry production process.
  • Responsible in creating and administering Standard Operating Procedures to create a uniform, qualifiable, and efficient process throughout the departments and product. Continuously evaluate the Standard Operating Procedures to diminish process deficiencies.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Bill of Material and Production Routings for both new and existing products in SAP.
  • The Foundry Engineer will be required to develop gating and risering systems for Hensley's cast products. This will be done using solid modeling (Creo) and solidification software (Magma Soft).
  • Responsible for auditing overall production and processes. Inform findings to relevant parties and Management and provide recommendations.
  • The Engineer will conduct a Process Capability Study to determine if process and production meets the output expectation. If not, further analysis would be conducted to help establish new processes and production output. This position will be responsible for continuously evaluating process and production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Must know and comply with the Komatsu Worldwide Code of Business Conduct, KAC code of Conduct, Hensley Environment Policies, Hensley Safety Policies, and Hensley Quality Policies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Foundry industry related degree preferred.
  • Experience using Solid Modeling software required. Simulation experience desired.
  • Experience with Bill of Materials and Production Routings in an ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. Experience in the foundry industry preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Strong analytical skill.
