About the Role
Redhorse Corporation's Cyber Analytics team is seeking a skilled Software Developer to contribute to a critical mission supporting a federal customer. You will play a vital role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing data processing and analysis applications, directly impacting the customer's operational capabilities and security posture. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine software development skills with cybersecurity expertise, contributing to the protection of vital national assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data processing and analysis applications.
  • Provide end-user support for developed applications.
  • Test and validate software builds, ensuring quality and functionality.
  • Identify and implement enhancements and improvements to customer data flow operations and capabilities.
  • Research software component operations, capabilities, and vulnerabilities, including conducting reverse engineering investigations.
  • Document research findings clearly and concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide network protocol analysis and data traffic analysis to identify malicious activity.
  • Assist in the analysis of secure mobile applications (Android and iOS) and identify security flaws.
  • Assist in the development of data analysis and recovery software tools for mobile applications.
  • Collaborate effectively with customer and engineer personnel across various technical levels and functions.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1+ years of experience providing software development support in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one of the following languages: C#, C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, or Bash Scripting.
Desired Experience
  • Familiarity with network protocol analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
  • Knowledge of OS internals and compiler concepts.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network internals and open-source tools.
  • Experience with industry-standard reverse engineering tools (e.g., IDA Pro, HexRays, or OllyDbg).
  • Experience with Android or iOS environments.
