We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with over 5 years of professional experience to join our innovative team. The role demands expertise in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and solutions to support our organization's data-driven objectives. This hybrid position combines remote work with on-site collaboration near Vienna, VA.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT leadership, to design and implement scalable data architectures that align with business goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Databricks, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Manage and optimize data storage solutions, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Leverage Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for data platform provisioning and deployment.
  • Establish DevSecOps pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and other tools to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Deploy and manage containerized data applications using Kubernetes, Helm charts, and ArgoCD.
  • Integrate security protocols and implement monitoring solutions using Splunk, ELK stack, and related tools to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Design and implement advanced data solutions, including IoT-enabled digital twins leveraging Azure Digital Twin and AWS TwinMaker.
  • Apply machine learning techniques and frameworks such as Scikit-learn and TensorFlow for data analysis and predictive modeling.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering roles, with demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration and modernizing legacy systems.
  • Hands-on experience with modern database systems such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, Java, and C++.
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, security architecture, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of high-availability system design, including load balancing, capacity planning, and data replication.
  • Certifications such as CISSP and cloud-specific credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics) are highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of working directly with C-level executives and business partners.


Work Environment: This position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence near Vienna, VA, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.
