OUC - The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the OU.DIVISION. We are looking for a Compliance Intern - Summer 2025. During the internship, you gain insight into the compliance functions within an organization. You will learn about various types of internal controls within business processes and how these controls can mitigate different risks for the organization. Additionally, you will understand how this organization utilities a risk-focused, data-driven approach to monitor business activities. This methodology enables near real-time identification of errors, controls deficiencies, and non-compliance in an automated manner, allowing business leaders to promptly address any issues and minimize the impact. In this internship, you will assist in documenting the risks and internal controls for business processes and will conduct compliance reviews on high-risk and questionable transactions identified through the compliance monitoring programs. Furthermore, you will learn to develop compliance testing and monitoring programs that utilize data analytics technics and current technologies. Assistance with additional audit and compliance projects are also required. Internship Eligibility:

Learn More About the Group: The compliance team within Internal Audit serve as the second line of defense for OUC by developing best-in-class, next-generation compliance testing and monitoring programs that utilize advanced data analytics techniques and technologies. We work closely with business units to identify potential risks and key controls in the areas, helping them implement effective strategies to mitigate these risks and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
