Accenture Sourcing & Procurement is growing and seeking to enhance our IT Center of Excellence with an exceptional practice leader. We are looking for a driven professional who is committed to scaling a strong, highly sought-after practice within Accenture.

The Senior Manager will be dedicated to Accentures IT Center of Excellence where the individual will be accountable for growing the business and innovating across all aspects of client delivery, business development, knowledge management, and practice development. The role is responsible for the overall growth of the practice through expansion and development of team members, delivery against sales and revenue targets, and full go to market approach including content development, pricing, and solution assets.

The Senior Manager will manage the business development pipeline and provide exceptional support to demonstrate Accentures IT sourcing capabilities, craft solutions and scope proposals, and convert business development opportunities. Additionally, the leader is responsible for high level oversight of active IT sourcing engagements to ensure high quality client delivery and optimized delivery model from IT Center of Excellence team members. Further, this leader is responsible for overseeing the growth and career development of all IT COE team members and managing staffing and asset allocation for all projects and sales requests that require support from the IT COE.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, senior consultant with a proven track record of leading strategic client engagements and growing high-performing teams. This individual should possess strong IT acumen and experience and exposure to IT procurement and/or negotiations across areas such as IT Services & Labor, IT Infrastructure, IT Software, and Telecommunications.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Delivery Quality Assurance
    • Ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables through strong project management, team management, and client management skills
    • Manage quality of delivery from IT Sourcing team members
    • Provide IT thought leadership and benchmarking
    • Manage project support resources and coordinate with subject matter experts within and outside of the firm
    • Ensure optimized deployment of IT Center of Excellence team members and manage delivery model needs for all projects warranting IT sourcing expertise
    • Develop and nurture relationships with clients
    • Work with contractors, consultants, and internal /external resources to align priorities, accomplish objectives, and satisfy all stakeholders
    • Facilitate development of project plans and overall project management to ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables
    • Contribute to the IT Center of Excellences strategic decisions and direction
    • Exhibit integrity in decisions and firm relationships
    • Achieve excellence and dependability through the execution of projects and initiatives
  • Business Development
    • Own and deliver upon practice sales and growth targets
    • Manage sales pipeline
    • Originate leads and upsell through nurturing of client relationships
    • Support inbound leads by providing sales-support materials, providing POV and materials that build credibility, and supporting scoping and proposal solutioning
    • Participate in and lead proposal presentations
    • Drive IT sourcing thought leadership and develop appropriate sales and marketing strategies and campaigns to share content
  • Practice Development
    • Identify gaps in products and service offerings and developing potential new products and service offerings to meet client needs
    • Own knowledge management (POV slides, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to capture IT category knowledge and ultimately support internal knowledge share and business development
    • Develop and execute strategies to aggregate data for ongoing benchmarking, insight generation, and data analysis
    • Identify and implement best practices to support ongoing management of intellectual capital

Heres what you need:

  • 10+ years of procurement and strategic sourcing experience, including exposure to IT negotiations
  • A bachelors degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • Solid analytical skills, including the ability to manage resources performing complex analytics as a basis for client decision support data
  • Strong client services skills/orientation developed by working with either internal business customers or preferably external consulting clients
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects, tasks and initiatives simultaneously

Bonus points if:

  • You have a strategic sourcing AND consulting background
  • You excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs, and demonstrating leadership
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives
  • You have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
  • Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
