Job Overview

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery is recruiting an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Otolaryngology for the Division of Head and Neck Oncology. Rank is commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of Head and Neck surgery.This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.The strengths of our division include a diverse array of funding in cutting edge basic science and translational research, a nationally recognized head and neck fellowship, co-founding of the largest microvascular course for fellows in the country, an integrated center of excellence with nationally recognized faculty in radiation and medical oncology and a dominant market share providing tertiary care needs for the most complex aerodigestive disease in the tri-state region.

Essential Functions

  • Primary responsibilities include the tripartite mission of providing excellent clinical care, education, and teaching activities across our Clifton and West Chester campuses.
  • This Clinical Faculty position will take part in the education of both fellows and resident providers in the clinic and inpatient setting.
  • Opportunities that will help develop an outstanding clinical and academic career for the applicant will include:

    • 1) A robust clinical trials office supporting medical, radiation and surgical oncology clinical trials
    • 2) collaboration with premier faculty in collaboration with the Departments of Radiation and Medical Oncology and the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center Pediatric Otolaryngology Division
    • 3) Involvement in multidisciplinary conferences (e.g., Weekly tumor board, Head and Neck surgery journal club, microvascular bootcamp, etc.)
    • 4) Joining a well-established multidisciplinary head and neck team with experienced nursing, speech, nutrition and navigation support. A strong interest and early-career development in research, transoral laser or trans oral robotic surgery and training in microvascular surgery.



Minimum Requirements

  • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent degree.
  • Must have completed an Otolaryngology residency and a Head and Neck Fellowship.
  • Board certified or Board eligible in Otolaryngology.
  • Unrestricted Ohio State Medical License.
  • Past track record of academic excellence and relevant clinical experience in discipline is ideal.
