PURPOSE OF POSITION

Manage all internal and external customer orders. Coordinate all logistical requirements including load tendering, data entry, processing customer orders, reviewing packets for accuracy and distributing packets according to standard departmental procedure.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

* Generate shipping-related documents such as customer orders via SAP.

* Create daily work assignments for warehouse team.

* Ensure orders are picked and processed timely to meet KPI requirements and help monitor and ensure proper inventory levels per customer expectations.

* Execute unique customer requirements for up to 30 different customers: customer portals, customer specific placards, direct email communication with customers.

* Perform SAP transactions: creating deliveries, shipments, key orders, daily reporting of current customer demand. Edit orders to ship complete or to customer request. Consolidating customer orders in SAP (up to 20 orders for 1 shipment). Managing stock transfer orders for internal customers (branch orders)

* Work order packet assembly (includes printing of customer orders and labels)

* Ability to review large amounts of data in excel and able to manipulate spreadsheets (filters, pivot tables) to combine shipments, track inventory levels and determine best routing based on customer order volume.

* Expediting work orders and coordinating and managing production schedule to ensure 100% on time delivery.

* Schedule international shipments with freight forwarders and provided export documentation.

* Checks drivers in for outbound and inbound shipments. Coordinate with staffing to efficiently process shipments.

* Schedules inbound and outbound appointments according to guidelines.

* Tracking loads/equipment daily to ensure on time pickup/delivery.

* Interacts with carriers, suppliers, and drivers in a professional and courteous manner.

* Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information.

* Work with customer service to ensure customer needs are met.

* Assist with continuous improvement efforts of facility via 5S, document control, etc.

  • Assist with safety programs and processes.

* Cross references data to assure accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform a variety of clerical duties and related duties as may be assigned.
Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing

* Minimum 3 years SAP experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Understand related concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.

* Associate's degree preferred.

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
