Job Summary

The Category Management Manager - Acquisition will coordinate with the Product Development team to manage the overall B2C / B2B Mobile Product Roadmap and Planning regarding Acquisition and growth impacting items. The CM will also help the product P/L as relates to acquisition. This role will report to the Senior Director of Category Management, with a Product Owner mentality focused on optimizing the performance of the overall Mobile product portfolio and delivering a comprehensive and competitive VAS and Service portfolio with plans to drive profitable revenue, subscriber growth, and market share gain to achieve and exceed corporate budget plan objectives. This role will work closely with the Finance and D&A teams to deliver a comprehensive, P&L-based view of the entire B2C portfolio as well as the Category Manager for Customer Base.

Responsibilities

*Drives Mobile service strategy planning, and plan mix focusing on new offers, device protection and its related products and financing items driving gross adds, device attachment rate and additional service adds.
*Responsible for driving lifecycle management in partnership with the CBM team of the Mobile services and Value-Added Services product portfolio, including but not limited to Mobile Service Plans, Device Porting and Credit Strategy.
*Contributes to P&L, achieves and exceeds corporate budget plan objectives - includes driving profitable revenue, subscriber growth, market share gain, and retention.
*Partners with the category manager - customer base to manage external partnerships that straddle both acquisition and base opportunities.
*Creates Category growth vision for VAS partners and serves as the primary interface Sales teams to ensure alignment on Mobile Product positioning and growth Strategy. This includes but is not exclusive to compensation and recognition, performance and participation goal setting and achieving,
*Leads the creation of product and business plans that identify market opportunities and collaborate with multiple roles and departments to ensure the company's various functions are aligned with product strategy.
*Understands customer needs and customer behavior delivers products/services that meet/exceed them
*Drives efforts to develop product strategy, supports the product development process, defines and leads the product go-to-market launch strategy and execution, and leads post-launch and ongoing E2E experience oversight.
*Innovate new unique selling points (USPs) for current and future mobile products, and partner tightly with Product Development, GTM and Sales to plan and enable development and on time delivery and market launch of amazing and successful products and services
*Craft and refine Product Positioning document to guide customer and channel facing asset development
*Coordinate and drive wall walks, launch strategy, forecasting, and ops across functions
*Collaborate around price moves to maximize both category and portfolio subscriber volume and revenue

Operations and Production Support:
*Responsible for overseeing production support and defects for all acquisition-related mobile products and features relating to current role
*Ensuring operational needs for Acquisition products and programs are addressed and managed by appropriate teams (Sales, IT, etc)

Reporting and Insights:
*Align reporting and DnA with offers and new programs we bring in, as well as working with FP&A to ensure business planning/ROI analysis of such initiatives.
*Active strategic and execution partnership with key cross-functional teams to ensure successful category management of product portfolio including acting as the primary interface to Finance and D&A teams for business planning and reporting
*Evangelizes the product internally to the executive team and colleagues while remaining customer-driven, representing the business through the product development process.
*Track achievement to budget targets and KPIs

Qualifications

*BA required
*Minimum of 8+ years in product management, operations, Mobile Sales or category management
*Advanced knowledge of Telco and Mobile products and technologies
*Strong understanding of mobile services and products
*Strong P&L leadership and mindset with a strong track record of growth
*Strong financial analysis capabilities
*Proven experience of data-driven decision-making, action, and delivery
*Proven ability to collaborate across growth, technology, sales, operations, and marketing teams to optimize and expand product offerings and solutions while driving growth and delivering the customer promise
*Robust understanding of consumer behavior, technology trends
*Proven presentation acumen, effective collaborator, and superior influencing skills
*Demonstrated experience developing and providing sound, data-driven guidance, and decisions to senior business leadership on sales strategies and performance
*Demonstrates influential leadership with authentic motivation capabilities, and proven ability to successfully manage through transformation and change

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $123,379.00-$202,694.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
