We're actively seeking a talented Senior Business Analyst to join our CMD Product Development team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.

The Senior Business Analyst will join the Annuities Pricing team, focused on rate setting and management activities for our fixed annuity, payout annuity and RILA products. This role involves developing rate setting recommendations, executing re-pricing updates, and collaborating with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong financial services knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and effective communication abilities. Responsibilities also include managing data tables, generating business returns, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

How you'll help move us forward:

Rate Setting and Management:

  • Develop rate setting recommendations and materials.

  • Execute periodic re-pricing updates for annuity business, ensuring assumptions align with current economic, competitive, investment, and risk management factors.

  • Collaborate with sales, finance, risk, and investment stakeholders to gather insights on rate proposals.

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of Snowflake data tables, upload templates, and Tableau calculation engines and visuals.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive model documentation and replicating tools for new features or methodology changes.

Return and Renewal Reporting:

  • Implement updated assumptions and pricing standards into return models.

  • Generate and communicate new business returns, including trend analysis and attribution.

  • Manage Python and Tableau dashboards, providing data inputs for QBR modeling.

  • Maintain the product renewal calendar, ensuring timely implementation of renewal rates.

  • Coordinate with Inforce Management to provide rate history data and manage the renewal rate submission process.

Process and Product Management:

  • Lead monthly meetings with AutoRate users to discuss product updates and enhancements.

  • Update and test AutoRate templates for new products and renewal cohorts.

  • Work with Technology Enablement on AutoRate process maintenance and enhancements.

  • Integrate new products and changes into rate setting and return reporting processes.

  • Develop support tools for new product implementation in the Rate Setting Dashboard.

The experience you bring:

  • Over 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial, Computer, or Data Sciences, or related quantitative fields.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a keen aptitude for numbers, understanding abstract concepts, and recognizing patterns.

  • Proficient in Python, Excel with VBA coding, SQL, and other relevant data analysis tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex thoughts and ideas both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve complex issues and collaborate with a broad variety of business partners, including leaders.

  • Strong collaborator who thrives in team environments and proactively takes initiative to achieve goals and drive projects to completion.

  • Creative thinker and problem solver, with a self-motivated, organized, and strong planning approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What makes you stand out:

  • Preferred experience in the financial services or life insurance industries, with direct experience with annuities products being a plus.

  • Skilled in developing visualizations using Tableau and managing data with Snowflake, following best practices.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
