Function:

Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Job Summary:As a Program Manager, you will support the CF Industries Foundation grantmaking strategy. Launched in 2022, the CF Industries Foundation's goal is to build a thriving and more sustainable world starting with the communities where we live and work. This is why we are committed to partnering with non-profit organizations to advance STEM education, protect and care for natural resources, improve healthy food access and improve the quality of life for our neighbors.

The Program Manager will work with CF's VP, Global Benefits & CF Industries Foundation to develop, implement and maintain approaches, that support, and lead to strategic grantmaking strategies and partnerships in communities where CF Industries employees work and live. The Program Manager will also own the Foundation's grantmaking process and activities and associated compliance requirements. Job Description:
  • Strategy and Leadership: Guide the strategic direction and expansion of the Foundation, ensuring alignment with its goals and commitment to its four philanthropic pillars.

  • Grantmaking Oversight: Manage the entire grantmaking process, ensuring impactful and equitable distribution of funds to eligible organizations along with legal and regulatory compliance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships with key internal and external partners, grantees, and stakeholders to enhance the foundation's reach and impact.

  • Program Evaluation: Our giving is guided by four pillars that impact local, regional, and, in some cases, national organizations. In collaboration with the Foundation staff, develop and implement a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of funded programs.

  • Employee Engagement: Champion the involvement of employees at CF Industries to become engaged with grantees in the local communities through volunteering.

  • Communication: You may also be asked to participate in various forms of public outreach, including virtual or in-person engagement and social media content creation as needed.

Role Expectations

  • Demonstrate confident intermediate-level proficiency with relevant skills supporting the implementation and management of grant programs, regularly training and supporting other team members.

  • Proactively determine what tasks are required based on current priorities and identify opportunities to grow and/or refine assigned projects, managing own time effectively to reliably meet deadlines and complete work to a high standard; working with colleagues to proactively identify opportunities to grow and/or refine their assigned projects.

  • Manage the implementation of projects that require collaboration from colleagues and/or external stakeholders, lead on developing detailed plans to implement approved strategies, and assist in drafting project budgets and monitor use of approved funds.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant work experience in grantmaking or nonprofit management, with corporate foundation experience preferred.

  • 5 years of practicing relevant technical skills, including grant evaluation, program management, and impact assessment.

  • People management experience preferred, demonstrating strong leadership and team development capabilities.

  • Experience with specific types of projects related to grantmaking and partnership development.

  • Types of communication skills include effective cross-cultural communication, grant review, impactful public speaking, and empathetic stakeholder engagement.

The estimated base pay for the position is typically between $107,600 - $151,500

The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside of the posted pay range.
