Function: Maintenance Job Summary:The Turnaround Planner is required to effectively plan and schedule all plant outages related work at the Woodward Facility. The Turnaround Planner is accountable for ensuring proper hazard analysis and identification of requirements at the planning stage of proposed jobs. The position has the additional responsibility of contributing to the overall cost effectiveness of work which often has a fixed budget and restricted timeline. An effective plan contributes to the on-time, on-budget and safe completion of jobs. Internal Controls:
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related technology field from an accredited college is preferred or a minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial plant planning or engineering planning. Exposure to a computerized maintenance management system. Previous experience planning and familiar with rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation, and fixed equipment. Solid communication skills including the ability to effectively converse in English, compose written documents and interact effectively with peers and supervisors. Familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standards. Strong leadership skills and competencies with the potential for future upward progression. Successful Incumbents will have: Effective organizational and time management skills Physical capability, availability, willingness, and ability to work in a team environment Good interpersonal and influential skills Strong computer related skills Ability to work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills Self-motivation in advancing to the highest level possible Understanding of Turnaround and Shutdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspection processes Willingness to work modified schedule during outages as needed Available for on call duties Ability and willingness to lead and foster change Willingness to travel occasionally
