Overview

R&P is looking for an experienced Contract Change Specialist who will Assist the LCS Configuration Change Manager supporting efforts for the LCS Project Office. Duties include overall processing and monitoring of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contracts Program Reports, and Major and/or Minor Waivers and Deviations for LCS ships under various stages of construction. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients.



Responsibilities

    Participates in Program Manager's Preliminary and Change Control Board (PCB/CCB) to review potential change candidates considering costs and schedule impacts, insuring only essential changes move forward to the contractor for scoping and pricing.

  • Participate in Austal LCS Configuration Change Control meetings comprised of Austal Change Managers, Lead Engineers, Planners and Estimators, Logisticians, PEO PMS 501 managers and engineers, and Austal and SupShip Gulf Coast personnel.

  • Assist in reviewing, reporting and presentation of contract change status analysis to Navy management representatives. Prepare and issue correspondence to forward information recommendations and necessary reports to the contractor and other Government activities.

  • Maintain and monitor integrated reporting system(s) affecting the program with inter-related functions and operations.

  • Communicate information related to contract changes to management for effective evaluation of program operations and milestones.

  • Analyze, extract, summarize and identify significant trends and issues related to the large programmatic reports, metrics, justifications, chart, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc. for top-level presentation and briefings to support the LCS Program Manager and PMR.

  • Manage front desk responsibilities, such as: parking, directions, inquiries etc.

  • Coordinate with mail delivery services

  • Track IT issues for the Navy Admin Building



Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiar with the funds management of the LCS Program.
  • Familiar with the command management operation system and Lean 6 Sigma/5S programs.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required
