Description

Position Objective: The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, flexibility in scheduling and assignment, and a substantial familiarity with various mechanical systems.

Schedule to work: Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Open to Overtime when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and repair machines and tools to within established specifications

* Maintain and repair building and equipment as required

* Read and understand all written instructions to maintain machinery/tools

* Listen to and understand all verbal instructions to maintain machinery/tools

Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and other technicians to evaluate and identify machine issues

* Repair machinery and equipment using a variety of machines and tools

* Perform required maintenance inspections using appropriate tools

* Record, in CMMS, daily maintenance activities including time and parts/materials used

* Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules

* Safely responsibly perform duties following company policy including maintaining general work area cleanliness

* Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business

Requirements

* Identify hazardous machine conditions and secure equipment against use as required

* Safely perform work according to safety policies and procedures, preventing injury to self and others

* Efficiently perform work to reduce costs, measured by the amount of time worked compared to the amount of time allotted for work to be completed

* Notify the supervisor promptly of any issues regarding tools, parts inventory, or other needs

* Ability to modify schedule and/or work overtime as needed

Requirements

Technical Requirements

* Knowledge of mechanical systems

* Experience in making machine adjustments and general troubleshooting

* Must have basic hand tools, including a multimeter

* Able to perform fundamental math operations including converting fractions and ability to read a tape measure

Knowledge/Experience:

* 6 months related experience, maintenance preferred

* Able to acquire forklift license within 6 months on the job

* Able to acquire a scissor-lift license within 6 months on the job

* Valid driver's license

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma

Trade School a plus

Licenses Or Certifications

License or certificates in any of the above-mentioned trade skills are beneficial.

(MSSC, CMRP, etc...)

Special Skills

* Accurately read tape measure, ruler, and calipers

* Ability to accurately apply mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Apply mathematical reasoning whole numbers,

fractions, and decimals

* Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel)

* CMMS experience a plus

* The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit, to use hands and fingers, to handle, feel, and manipulate parts, tools, and materials; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
