Position Description

The DNA Learning Center (DNALC) is seeking an innovative Manager of Marketing who will be instrumental in helping to extend the brand and reach of our transformative programs to new partners globally. This is a new and exciting role that offers the opportunity to make a profound impact on science literacy by creating a sustainable business model that will forge partnerships that bring DNALC's signature programs to new frontiers.


Position Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with DNALC Executive Director and other leaders to create and execute strategic marketing and expansion plans aimed at forming long-term global partnerships.
  • Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and cultivate potential partners-whether they are educational institutions, government entities, corporations or non-profits-with the resources and vision to implement DNALC's groundbreaking programs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to client organizations, managing relationships from initial contact through program delivery and ongoing assessment.
  • Collaborate across teams to coordinate all phases of program expansion:
    • Establish and oversee legal agreements;
    • Identify and secure funding sources;
    • Support business planning, facility design, and construction;
    • Assist with equipment procurement and staff recruitment and training;
    • Facilitate annual reviews, reporting, and compliance with DNALC's best practices for sustainable operations.
    • Build and maintain a comprehensive prospect list of potential clients and help develop promotional materials to drive engagement and awareness.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or project management, with a proven ability to cultivate and manage client relationships.
  • Experience in life sciences, science outreach, or education is a big plus.
  • Passion for science literacy and a self-starter mentality with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally to meet prospective partners and and then service clients.
  • This role is based at our headquarters in Cold Spring Harbor or Brooklyn, New York, with a the potential of a flexible hybrid work model and opportunities for global travel.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
