Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with expertise in model-based manufacturing to optimize machining processes and define part fabrication strategies. In this role, you will focus on programming and validating CNC machine operations for metallic and composite components used in drives, airframes, rotors, and other critical systems. Your contributions will directly impact dimensional accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with engineering requirements in aerospace manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
*CNC Programming & Validation:
oDevelop, optimize, and validate CNC machining programs using industry-leading tools, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
oUtilize software such as VERICUT and CATIA to simulate toolpaths and detect issues before production.
*Technical Interpretation:
oAnalyze and interpret engineering models, drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and GD&T to create accurate machining programs.
*Collaboration with Design & Production Teams:
oWork closely with design engineers to understand part specifications and machining requirements.
oCoordinate with the production team to ensure machining programs meet production schedules and quality standards.
*Machine Setup and Testing:
oPerform initial machining runs, troubleshoot issues, and adjust programs to optimize efficiency and part quality.
oConduct post-machining inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and address discrepancies.
*Process Optimization:
oContinuously improve machining processes by implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with aerospace tolerances.
oProvide technical input on manufacturing strategies and material handling, including metallic and composite components.
Required Qualifications:
oBachelor"s degree in Engineering or related field, or relevant CNC programming experience.
oProficiency in CAM software; ideally CATIA
oHands-on experience using VERICUT for CNC program validation and simulation.
oStrong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and aerospace tolerances.
oExcellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience with 5-7 axis CNC programming for complex aerospace components.
*Familiarity with advanced composite machining techniques and material handling.
*Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing systems and industry-specific standards.
*Knowledge of Digital Manufacturing tools such as Dassault DELMIA/ 3DExperience.
