We are seeking multi-skilled Sr. Product Designer with a mastery of visual design, experience design, interface construction, branding, and storytelling. We're looking for a designer who's driven by empathy for customers, and the desire to carry ideas from rough ideas to launch. The right candidate works independently and is a passionate collaborator with other design teams, engineering teams and marketing groups. Finally, this designer defaults to a making and building mindset - when in doubt we build something and test it. Embracing quick prototyping andtesting is a must.
Responsibilities Contributes to design's direction for area of accountability and executes design set by others Leads design on a product with moderate to high visibility, risk, and/or complexity Develops talent as a manager, mentor, onboarding buddy, coach, and sets the standard for excellent design Holds bar for craft across design, PM and Engineering within a major product area Contributes and partners with other major area leaders to ensure product coherence, erasing organizational boundaries from the experience Embrace and lead across all of culture models (e.g., demonstrates customer obsession) Contributes to broader MAI team culture (e.g., mentorship, onboarding buddy, team morale, ERGs/clubs) Understands and acts upon their role in creating a Diversity and Inclusion workplace at Microsoft Balances actively working on the details and finding time to step back at the bigger picture of the product Crafts a story around the WHAT, WHY and HOW for their ideas, while demonstrating via work rather than just words Embody our culture and values | |
