Purpose:

The Quality Control Supervisor ensures maintenance, inspections, and repair activities meet company standards and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). By maintaining rigorous quality standards, this role helps ensure the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of the company's aircraft fleet while supporting compliance with industry regulations. This position also involves supervising and overseeing Quality Control Inspectors to maximize efficiency and maintain consistency across all quality control activities.

Job Functions:

* Perform surveillance of inspections, repairs, or modifications being performed by a repair station or overhaul agency as a primary job function

* Conduct assigned Quality Control audits and surveillance of company facilities and aircraft to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAR requirements.

* Perform Quality audits and surveillance of vendors contracted by the company for aircraft maintenance to ensure compliance with FAR requirements, including detailed reviews of repair agency inspector training records.

* Conduct material receiving inspections to ensure all incoming materials meet company and regulatory standards.

* Audit work documentation generated during major checks, repairs, or modifications to ensure accuracy and completeness. Update the company's computer tracking system and initiate on-site corrections for identified errors.

* Perform inspection functions during inspections, overhauls, engine changes, or other major maintenance conducted by the company or contracted vendors not qualified to perform inspections. Conduct Required Inspection Item (RII) functions as qualified.

* Assist in developing or revising repair specifications or maintenance program content for the company and its vendors to ensure alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.

* Manage schedules and oversee Quality Control Inspectors assigned to Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities. Ensure staffing levels meet operational demands and provide support to inspectors to resolve issues as they arise.

* Audit daily maintenance paperwork, collaborating with Heavy Maintenance personnel to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.

* Perform other Quality Control duties as assigned by the Manager of Quality Control or Director of Quality Control.

Position Requirements:

* Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

* Communication and Attendance: Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers. Must adhere to the attendance policy.

* Physical Capability: Ability to stand, bend, reach to maintain files, and sit for extended periods.

* Compliance: Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

* Technical Skills: Proficient in computer software and electronic communication technology.

* Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of Heavy Maintenance Quality Control experience with a 121 Operator or 145 Repair Station. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a related field.

* Licensing: FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.

Preferred Job Skills:

* Three (3) years of experience in aircraft structures, avionics, or engine maintenance.

* Additional Certifications or Training: Any additional certifications or specialized training in aviation maintenance are advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

* Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.

* Comply with ATI attendance requirements

* Must be able to climb and use ladders, work stands, and platforms, and operate lift equipment.

* Must work comfortably in confined spaces.

* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly.

* May require working at heights up to 20 feet.
