Location: Houston, TX 77002

Job Type: Hybrid

Duration: 10 months possible FTE opportunity in future

Schedule: 2 Days in office and meeting onsite from time to time.

Pay Rate: $19.23/Hr. on W2.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
  • Manage the daily schedule of the IJIS Director, including arranging meetings, appointments, and training sessions.
  • Organize and maintain digital files, ensuring that documents are stored securely and are easily accessible.
  • Handle division communications, including email correspondence and phone calls.
  • Coordinate and facilitate special projects as assigned, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IJIS-related events, training programs, and departmental initiatives.
  • Develop training materials and documentation to enhance user understanding of JWEB processes and tools.
  • Assist in coordinating meeting for the IJIS Division budget, including tracking expenses and procurement.
  • Taking meeting minutes (REQUIRED).
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. w 4 years' experience supporting IT executives.


Required Experience:

  • Two (2) years of experience providing customer service or administrative support.
  • Six (6) months of information technology-related experience
  • Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record

  • Highly computer literate while proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Exceptional clerical skills and strong business acumen.
  • Proficient at taking meeting minutes.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and a skilled collaborator.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Basic understanding of budget management and financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable self-starting assigned and unassigned tasks.
  • Confident and eager to engage with end-users and technical staff.
  • Good troubleshooting skills using logic and common sense.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Actively promoting and gaining cooperation from others.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • This position must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
