General Purpose of Job:

The Supply Chain Intern position engages with all functions within the Sparrow's Supply Chain department and may include job rotations in Materials Information Systems, Procurement, Distribution, Contracting, and hospital-based support services. Initial assignments will be concentrated in one of these departments. In addition, key projects will be assigned for advanced learning.

The Supply Chain Intern Will:
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

Be a team memberinvolved in the execution of a new Supplier Business Review process. Evaluate business requirements andrecommend the most cost effective and innovative solutions to meet thoserequirements, including technology and process changes.
Performoperational duties as assigned to develop expertise in procurement,contracting, supply distribution, inventory management and processmapping.
Develop periodicperformance reports and monitor cost efficiency and service levels andpresent key supply chain metrics to management.
Provide basicanalytical support for projects, new business opportunities, andproposals.
Identify and leadselected process improvement activities and serve as liaison for keyinitiatives.
Work with supplychain business process owners to identify requirements and to utilize Leanmethodologies to implement opportunities for process improvements.
Perform routineduties as assigned.
Assists with research initiatives for advanced solution(s) design.

Job Requirements

General Requirements	* None
Work Experience	* Demonstrated academic or work experience utilizing data analytics for decision making
Education	* Pursuit or recent completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent, from an accredited program.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills	* Proven excellent writing skills with superior knowledge of the English language and English grammar. * Demonstrated ability to read and interpret business documents and details. * Demonstrated strong relationship development and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to communicate effectively with team members. * Willingness and ability to gain understanding of all aspects of the healthcare supply chain. * Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
