Summary of Position

Kinsley Construction is seeking an experienced Video Producer/Editor for our growing Marketing team in York, PA, who can balance artistic creativity with practical business needs and possesses a keen eye for detail behind a camera and on screen. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, be professional, and be comfortable wearing a hard hat and construction boots. This position must be committed to meeting deadlines, willing to travel and able to work non-traditional office hours as required. Kinsley Construction's Marketing Department supports all of the company's divisions and our primary objective is to assist with marketing communications and fulfill the marketing needs of our internal customers. We document our employees and projects to create genuine corporate communications, and our creative team produces content for both internal and external audiences, ensuring that the brand's visual identity is maintained and developed.

A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your diverse range of videography skills and experience is required for the application process of this position.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • From Concept to Completion: Dive headfirst into every video shoot, from building the perfect set to capturing the perfect shot. You'll be the master of lighting, sound, and problem-solving, always ready to roll with the punches.
  • Crafting Cinematic Magic: Transform raw footage into a polished masterpiece that reflects our brand and achieves our communication goals across every platform imaginable.
  • The Storytelling Maestro: Record and edit everything from bite-sized social media clips to in-depth story-telling pieces - your skills know no bounds.
  • Social Media Sorcerer: Conjure captivating content for social media, from mesmerizing GIFs to engaging carousels and short-form video wonders.
  • Digital Advertising Alchemist: Collaborate with the communications team to craft compelling digital ads that stop the scroll.
  • Trendspotter Extraordinaire: Stay ahead of the curve by constantly exploring the latest digital trends and best practices, always on the lookout for fresh and exciting content ideas.
  • Communication Champion: Communicate with clarity and professionalism, collaborating seamlessly with supervisors and coworkers to plan shoots, coordinate schedules, and meet deadlines.
  • Creative Powerhouse: Utilize a diverse toolkit of graphic, animation, data visualization, music, and editing tools to bring your creative visions to life with stunning results.
  • Visionary & Strategist: Develop detailed creative briefs for all projects and meticulously storyboard every video to ensure a flawless execution.

Experience & Education

  • Must be ambitious self-starter and team player who is driven to meet deadlines
  • Must have hands-on experience with video/film production, including shooting and editing skills
  • Specialized post-high school education or training (university or technical school) is preferred
  • Knowledge of how to use boom and lav microphones for recording audio
  • Detailed knowledge of art and lighting
  • Understanding of non-linear editing and post-production compositing with motion graphics software
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects
  • Able to input graphics, perform color correction and audio mixing to enhance footage
  • Creatively driven with excellent storytelling skills when it comes to editing
  • Ability to manage multiple overlapping projects and deadlines
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
  • Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time, and be reliable for in-person attendance
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a willingness to travel regionally and work non-standard hours when needed
