We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and detail-oriented administrative professional to join our team as an Administrative Assistant III. This individual will perform professional administrative support duties for the School of Protective and Human Services Dean, Associate Dean and Faculty within Education and Human Services. These duties and responsibilities involve varying degrees of complexity and confidentiality.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide ongoing administrative support to the department/function to ensure efficient office operations i.e. correspondence, records, reports, calendars, etc. 2. Provide support for the day-to-day activities related to the financial responsibilities of the department re: budget, expense reports, purchasing, etc. 3. Assist in the planning and coordination of on- and off-campus meetings, events and/or workshops. 4. Provide reception support i.e. answer and screen telephone calls, greet and interact with the public, students, faculty and staff. 5. Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities. Provide back-up support services, as required. 6. Support College managers in quality and process improvement activities. 7. Participate in and contribute to assignments and special projects of a similar nature and level.

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Interpersonal communication skills - oral, written and listening.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to attend closely to detailed work, completing and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work processes.
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with computer software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Associates degree
2. 2-4 years of general office experience and possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter.
