As a data architecture professional, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We're looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for the Department of Defense.

As a data architect on our Defense team, you'll use your technical expertise to design data architecture solutions. You'll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by analyzing data architecture-related business needs and working with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments.

In this role, you'll apply best practices and tools to develop data strategies and design databases, data models, ETL processes, and data warehouse applications. You'll grow your technical experience as you assist in the design, definition, development, and testing of cloud solution components, serving as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with data architecture, data warehousing, and data governance

  • Experience with cross-functional teams in areas of data engineering, architecture, cyber, analytics, AI, and ML

  • Experience with business process reengineering, business process assessment, or business architectural development

  • Experience in creating and managing data models, schemas, and diagrams, including with enterprise data catalog tools such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, and Alation

  • Experience with cloud technology supporting scalable data solutions

  • Knowledge of data management principles and best practices, including data quality management, data stewardship, and data lifecycle management

  • Ability to design, implement and manage database management systems, including SQL, Oracle, and NoSQL

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with SDLC, including Agile and test-driven methodologies

  • Knowledge of DoD enterprise data mission space and systems

  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of clients and staff professionally and deliver presentations to executives, clients, and professional peers

  • Master's degree

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
