GENERAL FUNCTION

This Manager of IT position, specializing in ERP support, will play a key role in ensuring the continuous availability, performance, & stability of the business applications environment. This individual will coordinate support activities with external vendors for complex issues, identify training opportunities for standard Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains (GP) usage & contribute to administrative efforts. With a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics GP, the specialist will support integrations with various systems, including but not limited to Power BI, Office 365 & more, across the organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide expert-level support & troubleshooting for Microsoft Dynamics GP applications
  • Manage business user expectations & maintain effective communication throughout the support process
  • Support acquisitions & system integrations into Dynamics GP, including user onboarding & training
  • Apply ERP implementation standards, tools, & documentation methodologies to ensure efficient system usage
  • Lead support for the following modules of Dynamics GP: Core Financials (GL, AP, AR), Distribution (Purchase Order, Sales Order, Inventory), HR (Payroll)
  • Foster strong user experiences by ensuring high-quality customer service & ongoing support
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft SQL syntax, Dynamics GP table structure, as well as SQL-based troubleshooting, report design & view creation
  • Establish & define user provisioning, roles, tasks & permissions strategy
  • Ensure the security & data integrity of the system by managing access permissions & performing regular system checks
  • Provide day-to-day user support, troubleshooting issues & collaborating with internal & external teams to resolve problems
  • Lead support for new projects, system implementations, upgrades, configurations & system testing in production environments
  • Develop & deliver user training, as well as assist in the creation of training materials


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Great Plains Systems Management, with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a related role
  • Experience handling confidential & sensitive information
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting or operating Microsoft Dynamics GP, with a preference for experience with the 2018 version or late
  • Strong experience with Dynamics GP modules, including Core Financials, Distribution, & HR Payroll
  • Ability to coordinate with third-party & vendor support teams in a high-transaction-volume service organization
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent issues outside of regular business hours, including evenings & weekends, as necessary
  • Clear verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities & adapt to changing business needs


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience with the following tools & platforms is preferred including: Smartsheet, Power BI or other dashboard tools, Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics GP or Business Central
  • Strong systems administration & troubleshooting skills
  • Technologically curious, with a passion for learning & applying new technologies

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
