Role and Responsibilities:


We are seeking an energetic Lead Floor Technician to lead a team of individuals with disabilities in maintaining the floors and baseboards of our facility. In this role, you will ensure a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment through effective management of floor maintenance and equipment.



  • Lead and train a team primarily composed of individuals with disabilities.

  • Oversee floor maintenance, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met.

  • Train employees in building layout, work techniques, equipment usage, safety practices, and supply management.

  • Implement and enforce safety systems to protect tenants, guests, and team members, while monitoring work sites for compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Manage crew attendance, timesheets, and employee relations, coordinating floor care duties to ensure the safety of staff and patients.

  • Collaborate with the Contract Officer and crew leaders to address concerns, make decisions, and maintain service quality.

  • Complete required paperwork, including quality control reports, performance evaluations, and compliance with regulations.

  • Train staff on Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards, conducting investigations into accidents/incidents and implementing preventive measures.

  • Conduct annual evaluations for custodial employees.


Additional Requirements:



  • Ability to read, write, and respond to customer inquiries.

  • Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and standard cleaning procedures.


Physical Demands:



  • Required to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time.

  • Able to follow safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, grab and lift up to (50) lbs.

Experience
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience (Preferred) (preferred)
2 years: Minimum of 2 years of commercial floor care experience (Preferred) (preferred)
