Inova Health System Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team is seeking a dedicated medial student who is interested in a year-long clinical Research Fellowship - Research Project Associate to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday.

Research Project Associate Job Responsibilities:



  • Assists in the preparation of documents or manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals or posters for conference presentations.
  • Obtains data from internal and external databases to support project requirements.
  • Exercises fiscal responsibility in decision making for project related expenditures by maintaining accurate records of expenditures with supporting documentation and receipts.
  • Conducts and synthesizes reviews of literature to support the purpose and hypotheses of a study/project according to project timelines.
  • Performs research procedures as needed including screening and enrollment of research subjects, specimen/data collection, study baseline and follow-up visits.
  • Assists in the preparation and submission of regulatory documents to the study sponsor and IRB as required by protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate on a team with 2 other clinical research coordinators.


Research Project Associate Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: 8-hour shift (Monday - Friday, Days).
  • Education: Associate Degree, 60 or more credit hours toward Bachelor's Degree or certified as a research coordinator through the ACRP. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two (2) years in research, administrative or clinical support role (Healthcare administration).
