The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for diagnosing and treating mental and emotional disorders for our child and adolescent clients, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral, applying psychotherapeutic theories and techniques in the delivery of services for the purpose of treating such diagnosed mental and chemical addiction disorders.

Essential Functions:



  • Provide psychotherapy services to adolescent clients, as scheduled, and document conducted group sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the client.
  • Develop and track attainment of IOP or PHP goals and objectives.
  • Lead psycho-educational, therapy and process groups.
  • Provide initial treatment planning for clients, based on assessment and coordinates any additional services needed and revises as necessary.
  • Perform clinical assessment of individuals referred to the program.
  • Coordinate inpatient referrals with appropriate hospital staff and assess patients on inpatient units for referral to the IOP/PHP as requested by the treatment team.
  • May perform case management, discharge or after care planning as needed.
