We're looking for a full-time, staff Engineering Scheduler to join our Day & Zimmermann team.

- Thorough understanding of Primavera and/or Microsoft scheduling software
- Basic knowledge/understanding of industry scheduling terminology.
What You Will Be Doing:
Schedule Development and Maintenance
- Develop detailed Level I, Level II, and Level III engineering schedules for design work or engineering changes using Primavera P6.
- Create and maintain resource-loaded schedules based on Engineering Execution Plans (EEP) or scope documents.
- Update schedules with actual progress and perform schedule maintenance, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
- Identify, incorporate, and monitor support activities in schedules.
Analysis and Optimization
- Perform critical path analysis and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders (Resource Engineer, Project Manager etc.).
- Conduct "what-if" scenarios and analyze alternatives with working groups to determine the most effective scheduling methods.
- Identify schedule deficiencies, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions to conflicts.
Resource Management
- Interface with workgroup representatives to level resources using selected profiles.
- Develop and maintain resource histograms and loading profiles to support engineering activities.
- Monitor and manage resource allocation, ensuring optimization across schedules.
Schedule Integration
- Integrate engineering schedules into project lifecycle schedules when required.
- Ensure seamless schedule integration for projects where engineering schedules are standalone or embedded within project lifecycle schedules.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Interface with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and other stakeholders, to gather input and update schedules.
- Clearly communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare schedule status reports and presentations for management and working groups.
- Ensure compliance with internal scheduling guidelines and industry best practices.
What You Need To Bring To The Table:
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, including advanced features for schedule development, resource loading, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of Level I, Level II, and Level III engineering schedule requirements.
- Knowledge of resource histograms, resource leveling, and resource optimization techniques.
- Ability to perform critical path analysis and identify schedule impacts.
- Familiarity with schedule integration and lifecycle management.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address schedule deficiencies and conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey schedule-related information.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience
- Prior experience in engineering scheduling for design or engineering changes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules with multiple stakeholders and integration requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in utility or energy-related industries.
- Familiarity with engineering change processes and workflows.
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling standards and best practices.
Work Environment:
- Primary work location is at Echelon, with an expectation of 75% onsite presence.
- Assignment duration ranges from 6 months to 1 year.
In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $66,000- $193,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
