The Office of Development at Missouri University of Science & Technology is actively searching for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as an Office Support Assistant. The Development Team is a crucial part of the university's infrastructure by turning dreams into reality through the major gifts we raise and alumni relationships we cultivate and steward. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of a creative and inventive staff in higher education. Nature of Work: To proactively provide administrative support to the Development Team through effective communication and a high level of attention to detail. Position Summary: As an administrative member of our team, the Office Support Assistant will:
- Provide administrative support to the Development Team
- Collaborate with donors, alumni, corporations and foundations, and the campus community to make meeting arrangements, compile reports and proposal data, and assist with projects
- Assist in preparing trip materials and travel arrangements
- Analyze and maintain records pertaining to donor relations and proposal data
- In coordination with Finances and Advancement Services, develop and execute processes to assist in tracking and completing endowments and pledges
- Prepare and process expense reports
- Actively participate in fostering a collaborative work environment by serving as a liaison to the organizations within University Advancement
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and respond to office inquiries
- As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected to support the mission and vision of University Advancement
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytic and time management skills, as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while exhibiting strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Zoom and other technologies that foster hybrid collaboration
- This position provides support to senior level team members and assists with highly visible complex scenarios. Demonstrated experience with travel arrangements, managing multiple calendars, preparing meeting agendas, and synthesizing data/information is preferred
- This position will work with both internal and external constituents, therefore strong professional, interpersonal communication skills (oral, written, in-person) are highly sought
- Ability to enact a high level of confidentiality
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00-$18.00 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
