Job Summary:

Serves as a project specific speaker bureau leader while independently coordinating and executing pharmaceutical speaker bureau meetings.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for program management of up to 250 programs per year (based on specific client)
  • Builds understanding of and ensures client guidelines and business rules are followed
  • Manages budgets independently and ensures client and company guidelines are followed
  • Manage programs independently within any client or internal portals and platforms
  • Communicates independently with reps, speakers and vendors
  • Independently negotiates vendor contracts
  • Independently Secures audio visual based on client needs
  • Communicates and coordinates with our in-house travel agency regarding speaker travel needs
  • Responsible for ensuring programs are within client guidelines and budget post-program
  • Responsible for having difficult financial discussions with vendors pre-program and post-program
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively and efficiently with coordinators/account services / management
  • Identifies deficiencies and proposes process improvements
  • Provides account backup as needed
  • May be required to travel on-site to programs 5 - 15% of the time (weekends may be required)
  • Assists in the training and development of new program coordinators, senior coordinators and interns
  • Ability to manage multiple clients
  • Ability to be a main team resource for internal client business rules, policies, processes, and client portals
  • Ability to lead high profile meetings
  • Attends client status calls and is able to serve as the liaison between the client and team
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between account services and logistics
  • Creates weekly reports submitted to client (as needed)
  • Manages coordinator's client related process / procedure questions
  • Manages client-related process / procedure resources and business rules for the team
  • Acts as role model and mentor to program coordinators and senior program coordinators
  • Schedules and leads coordinator team meetings
  • Participates in external vendor meetings
  • Assists department manager in identifying department best practices

Education and Skill Requirements:

  • College Degree or equal work experience
  • 4-6 years Meeting & Event Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel 5 - 15% (weekends may be required)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
