The Senior Business Partner, FP&A will support the Opto Group and provide financial and operational analysis, drive business strategy, deliver proactive information through analytics and lead financial business processes across several sites in North America. They will work closely with the business and senior leaders to accurately forecast financial results, understand profitability across products and customers, develop and implement strategy, and work together as partners. In addition, this individual will perform various financial reporting and forecasting analyses in the areas of profit planning, cost containment, capital expenditures and other areas.


Responsibilities

  • Support sites/management through business partnering and ad hoc financial modeling, analysis, and reporting; including pricing analysis, margin analysis, customer and product line profitability.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to create annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial models.
  • Create and maintain monthly finance/management reporting, closely managing operating expense for key business areas and commentary on variances.
  • Manage cashflow, ensuring AR and AP metrics are met and resolve any issues arising.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership and department heads, providing financial guidance and support to drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial strategies and operational goals.
  • Identify potential opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies within areas of responsibility.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) desired.
  • Must have 8+ years experience in finance with 5+ in related roles - e.g. financial planning and analysis, business analysis, financial modeling or forecasting. Experience in manufacturing, Consumer Products or Durable Goods highly preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively utilize data to provide insightful analysis and prudent recommendations.
  • Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e. Hyperion, Essbase, Oracle, SAP, etc); Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365/Navision strongly desired.
  • Highly proficient in building executive-facing Microsoft Excel models and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent project management skills: ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present confidently to Senior Management is required.
  • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is helpful.
  • ERP implementation experience is helpful.
  • Strong work ethic; proven track record for delivering on commitments.
  • Experience working positively and productively in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with different time zone needs such as attending late night/early morning meetings by phone and/or web to meet global business needs.
  • Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally, approximately 15% of the time.
