About the role:
The Enterprise Risk Organization (ERO) is seeking an experienced candidate who will help develop, implement, and maintain the Risk Appetite Framework. This is a new position on the ERO team and is part of a broader effort to enhance and further develop the Risk Management Framework at FIS.

About the team:

The Risk Appetite Framework (RAF) team is part of the Enterprise Risk Office (ERO). The team is responsible for developing and managing risk appetite statements, which articulate the level and type of risk the company is willing to accept to carry out its strategic plans. In addition, the RAF team is responsible for developing and managing key risk indicators for each of the seven risk domains at FIS. By establishing a systematic approach to identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risk, FIS will continually improve the company's governance, increase accountability, and enhance overall performance.

What you will be doing:

  • Documenting a Risk Appetite Framework Policy and developing supporting Standards
  • Seeking to understand risk exposures applicable to the seven risk domains at FIS: Technology Risk; Operational Risk; People Risk; Financial Risk; Compliance/Legal Risk; Strategic Risk; and Reputation Risk
  • Creating key risk indicators (KRIs) and determining risk tolerances and thresholds for each
  • Collaborating with the ERO Reporting Team to develop KRI reporting

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. May be required to hold certification or equivalent in area managed. Successful candidates will possess 8-10 years prior experience in the financial services industry leading, executing, or contributing to the Risk Appetite Framework and development and maintenance of key risk indicators including quantitative metric development and data gathering processes

* General business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence
* Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills
* Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
* Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
* Skill in productivity, planning and workload management
* Skill in negotiation regarding complex issues
* Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences and deal effectively with issues that are confidential and sensitive in nature
* Ability to share information with awareness of its effect on others
