Immediate opening for two Associate Research Scientist positions with Marco Giometto at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science, Department of Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics. The successful candidates will conduct leading-edge research on fundamental and applied problems in environmental fluid mechanics and turbulence, with a specific focus on atmospheric boundary layer processes and turbulence. Responsibilities: * Lead atmospheric boundary layer processes and turbulence research * Help identify opportunities and lead the preparation of proposals * Closely interact with funding agencies and project partners to deliver on projects * Develop computational fluid dynamics and geospatial analysis software * Co-supervise undergraduate and graduate students PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience as a postdoctoral researcher in atmospheric boundary layer processes or fluid dynamics. Strong computational fluid dynamics model development experience, proven publication record in the field of atmospheric boundary layer processes and turbulence.
