ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for maintaining and operating land-based equipment, i.e., Track hoe, Bulldozer, Front End Loaders, Forklifts and Telehandlers. This position will also be responsible for verifying all maintenance records and keeping accurate equipment logs daily to be turned into the Captain. The Heavy Equipment Operator will make sure that the equipment is always operating properly and in a safe and productive manner. Additional duties will include, but will not be limited to, conducting, and attending safety meetings, JSAs, and performing maintenance duties, with the primary focus on safe overall shore-based operations aboard company equipment. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Fill Foreman.

PREFERRED SKILLS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, personal flotation devices (PFD's), or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
