Critical Infrastructure Policy Advisor

The Opportunity:

Working as a Defense Industrial Base (DIB) analyst, you will support a program that develops plans, policies, and leadership support initiatives to assure the DoD can execute its core functions, even in the face of asymmetric military threats and severe natural hazards to defense installations and infrastructure. The program also strengthens such oversight by helping senior leaders integrate a broad range of threat- and component-specific programs, and by building effective partnerships with other federal departments and the private sector to build the resilience of external infrastructure essential to defense operations.

You will provide technical advice and support to DoD efforts, National Security Memorandum - 22 (NSM-22) and follow-on national-level policy guidance implementation, United States Government (USG) critical infrastructure risk management efforts, and non-DoD owned Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) risk management efforts.

You will provide support to formal and informal meetings, boards, councils, and committees by booking conference rooms, facilitating video teleconference (VTC) scheduling, tracking meeting participation or attendance, and managing invites to stakeholders and partners in the USG and private sector. You'll produce preparatory materials, notes, summaries, formal summaries of conclusion (SOCs) of meetings related to the program efforts. You'll track MA-related developments in the DIB, USG, and private sector to facilitate enhancement of the DoD's risk management approach.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience with the DoD performing research, analysis, and decision-making support on mission assurance and homeland defense resourcing, strategic communication, strategy, and policy issues

• Experience as a senior strategy and policy analyst in mission assurance and risk management operations

• Ability to work well in high-pressure, short-suspense scenarios with limited direction and oversight from varying leadership styles

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with project management methodologies

• Experience briefing senior-level leadership

• Top Secret clearance

• Master's Degree in International Relations, Policy, or Political Science

Clearance:
