Job Overview
The Learning Experience Specialist - Installation and Service Instructor is a key role that provides best-in-class training covering the installation and servicing of Marvin products. Responsibilities cover facilitation of training for customers, leaders and fellow Marvin employees including delivering live hands-on experiences, virtual/remote training and assisting in the creation of training videos and other assets. These trainings may be delivered at Marvin locations or on-site based on customer requests. This position will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment on cross functional projects that drive measurable and sustained business results.
Highlights of your role
In this role, you will act as a facilitator and brand ambassador for Marvin Installation and Service training programs. This includes: Training Delivery:
Deliver learning solutions across various topics and subject matter areas pertaining to construction, installation, and product service that meet Marvin's high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish credibility with the audience by knowing the content area, providing real-world examples, and linking the material to the audience's job experiences and challenges.
- Being friendly, engaging, and able to communicate with each training audience effectively while blending classroom with unique hands-on experiences.
- Present information in a clear, logical, and organized way; know which areas to emphasize to increase learning effectiveness.
- Actively seek evidence of audience engagement and comprehension, tailoring the training to meet differing needs, interests, and experience levels among participants.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of training resources (including windows, doors, wall bucks, equipment, and training spaces).
- Coordinate in-person training events in partnership with the coordination resources on the LX team.
- Create and maintain training documentation as required when new topics or changes arise.
Business Acumen:
- Confidently and accurately discuss Marvin's unique products and services.
- Stay current on installation and service topics and customer feedback to increase effectiveness of programs.
- Stay current on changes and advancements within the fenestration industry to maintain content relevancy.
- Understand metrics and benchmarks to help align training to business goals and success.
Team Engagement:
- Identify ways to foster collaborative learning environments and grow the organization's learning reputation and brand.
- Act as a subject matter expert to other LX team members on installation and service-related topics.
- Support internal Marvin partners with installation and service training including consultation.
- Provide feedback and adapt topics, content and support materials based on interactions with learning participants.
- Foster positive interdepartmental relationships while supporting their needs for education, delivery, and knowledge.
Compensation
$81,026 - $108,035 annually
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Strong familiarity with all aspects of Marvin products, their installation, and servicing.
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information related to service and installation topics on a continual basis.
- Familiar with and able to adhere to Marvin installation instruction standards, while offering creative solutions that still fall within those parameters
- Experience in training facilitation across multiple modalities including large group and small group in-person events, video, and virtual delivery.
- Collaborative partner that can build strong, trusting relationships
- Able to adapt and pivot messaging in-the-moment based on the audience size, skills, and experiences.
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills; must display a balanced, objective approach and sound judgment when recommending a course of action.
- Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
- Strong influencing skills when recommending and implementing solutions with business partners.
- Be accountable for use of your company time, P-card, phone, vehicle, computer, and tools.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
- Some lifting required.
Also want to make sure you have
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Related professional certification or designation is an asset
- Experience installing or servicing Marvin products required
- Experience in the fenestration industry required
- Experience as a contractor or builder beneficial
- Experience as trainer/facilitator/public speaker a plus
