Position Summary:

The Lead Technician coordinates the daily work of the EMI (Electrical, Mechanical & Instrumentation) team to complete assigned work orders. The Lead Technician also provides information on care and repair of assets to improve dependability and works with the maintenance planner to populate the weekly maintenance schedule based on resource and equipment availability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled electrical, mechanical and instrumentation trade services to pilot plant facilities to maintain equipment which includes breakdown, planned and inspection work orders
  • Interact with other maintenance work groups, pilot plants, and planning/stores functions to deliver on time preventative maintenance
  • Provide feedback on breakdown intervention reports and recommend preventive maintenance improvements to optimize asset care
  • Assign weekly work orders to team based on planned orders and technician availability
  • Ensure work orders on schedule are completed to Nestle standards and documented within AMM
  • Promote a safe work environment, speak up when unsafe or questionable conditions are observed, and encourage and promote risk awareness
  • Identify opportunities to improve site, identify systemic issues, organize cost-effective solutions, and drive to completion
  • Support Sustainability Roadmap for the site

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role required
  • Knowledge of liquid processing equipment used for food and beverage
  • Background in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and maintenance work practices
  • Collaboration, communication skills; customer service focus
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement
  • SAP user experience a plus
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
