DATA GOVERNANCE ANALYST

What you'll do.

This role is at the forefront of driving data governance excellence across the organization. As the architect and champion of our Data Governance Program, you'll play a key part in shaping and executing strategies that ensure data is managed with the highest standards of integrity, security, and compliance. Collaborating with diverse teams across the organization, you'll help establish and enforce essential policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring consistency and alignment across all business areas. With the rapidly evolving data landscape, you'll continuously innovate and refine the program to keep pace with emerging technologies, ensuring our data governance practices remain cutting-edge and effective.

What we look for.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field is required.
  • Certification in SQL is preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in data governance concepts, techniques, and processes, including metadata management, data quality, and data lineage is required.
  • Experience in industries where data governance is critical, such as healthcare, finance, or technology or other relevant industries is required.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks that impact data governance (e.g., GDPR, HIPPAA) is required.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as SQL for querying and analyzing data, SharePoint or similar for governance document management, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) to support data governance activities is required.
  • Familiarity with DataOps, Agile or SCRUM methodologies is preferred
  • Experience working with Salesforce is preferred
  • Experience with data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation) is preferred
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred

*Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for qualification requirements.

Travel Requirements: No travel required.

Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as primarily remote (ability to work remotely, but required to work in the office as needed or requested)
