Karl Storz is seeking an Evaluator I (Endoscope repair) to assess endoscopes returned for repair, following standard policies and procedures. The role involves documenting evaluations in SAP and ensuring quality control throughout the process.

Hours: 1st shift - 6 AM -2:30 PM or 2nd shift - 3:30 PM - midnight

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate endoscopes (Fiber and/or Video) and document findings in SAP.
  • Disassemble, decontaminate, and reassemble endoscopes as needed.
  • Respond to customer questions and assist the warranty and complaint team.
  • Inspect evaluations by team members for quality control.
  • Maintain safety protocols when handling biohazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Participate in training programs and support process improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in assembling or evaluating miniature medical products.
  • Ability to understand product drawings and use hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Basic data entry skills and familiarity with SAP and MS Office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with microscopes and hand tools for extended periods.
  • Ability to work overtime and adhere to attendance guidelines.

Mental Requirements:

  • Fast-paced work environment, requiring quick learning and decision-making.
  • Awareness of safety around biohazardous materials.
  • Ability to process work efficiently and prioritize quality.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations, including ISO 14001, FDA, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain productive working relationships and contribute to continuous improvement.

Other Duties:

  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure the cleanliness of work areas.
  • Report material performance issues and complete required documentation.
