Under the direction of the Deputy Chief Information Security Ocer (DCISO) in the Information Security Oce (ISO) of Information & Educational Technology (IET), this position works on a wide variety of legal and organizational issues encountered in an Information Security Oce (ISO) at the University. The position reviews contracts and develops recommendations for the ISO on legal, regulatory, privacy and compliance risks across a number of different ISO functions and services. Also, acts as the liaison with University counsel on legal matters. This position researches and drafts memorandums on special projects undertaken by the ISO. May also assist in other areas under the purview of the ISO, such as participating in risk and compliance reviews of research contracts, cloud vendors and/or campus departments. Candidates must already possess authorization to work in the United States to be considered. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with information assurance (IA) principles and organizational requirements that are relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation. Key Responsibilities * 50% - Supplier and Contract Review and Analyses Department Overview The ISO Legal Fellowship permits one Fellow to spend one year in residence in the ISO, working for the campus on contractual issues, and researching other legal issues facing the ISO and the University. This Fellowship will also provide the fellow with an opportunity to experience and contribute to information security and privacy within a dynamic department and a large public research university.
