Description and Requirements

The Director of Alliances Strategy plays a crucial role in driving business growth and expanding market reach through strategic partnerships.

1. Strategic Planning & Development:

  • Define and execute the overall alliances strategy: Align with Lenovo's short and long term business objectives and identify potential partners that can provide a competitive advantage.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis: Identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential partnership opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential partners: Prioritize and qualify potential partners based on strategic fit, market impact, and potential ROI.

2. Partnership Formation & Management:

  • Develop bespoke alliance frameworks, business plans, deal theories, and projected strategic outcomes based on strategic fit and need
  • Work with alliance managers to draft and negotiate win-win strategic frameworks that maximize value for both parties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations: Cultivate executive-level relationships and foster collaboration across different departments.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of partnership programs: Monitor progress, track key metrics, and ensure that partnerships are delivering on their intended outcomes.

3. Business Development & Growth:

  • Identify and pursue new revenue streams through partnerships: Explore opportunities for co-selling, co-marketing, and joint product development.
  • Drive go-to-market strategies for new products and services through partner channels: Leverage partner networks to expand market reach and accelerate customer acquisition.
  • Analyze and report on partnership performance: Track key metrics such as revenue generated, market share gained, and customer satisfaction.

4. Team Leadership & Management:

  • Mentor a team of alliance managers: Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment: Encourage teamwork, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement processes and best practices for alliance management: Ensure efficient and effective management of partnerships across the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of applicable experience in:
    • Business development and partnership management
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships
    • Leadership and team management skills
    • Experience in developing partnerships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree Business, Marketing or related field
  • 10+ years of applicable experience
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven and tangible outcomes connecting strategy and partner development
  • Experience with AI ecosystem, startups, investors, consultants, and global system integrators
  • Expert understanding and experience of the PC and Datacenter industry
