LMI seeks an Enterprise Engineering & Systems Architect to support a federal program management office in the National Capital Region (Washington, D.C.). Responsibilities

The Enterprise Engineering & System Architect will provide engineering and architecture support for enterprise-level initiatives as assigned such as planning, coordinating, and executing analyses using Integrated Systems Architecture and Mission Analysis.

    Plan, coordinate, execute, and report analyses using Integrated Systems Architecture and Mission Analysis.
  • Assist in the development of an innovative, robust, and efficient Digital Engineering ecosystem for CBP use across the product lifecycle.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage an Artificial Intelligence-enabled capability for exploring future threats to CBP operations that is interoperable with and supported by / integrated into the CBP DE ecosystem.
  • Plan and manage the execution of use cases to demonstrate the value of integrating "futures thinking" into Strategic Planning, and the CBP Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Accountability (PPBA) process.
  • Collaborate with capability developers such as DHS Science & Technology (DHS S&T) program offices and the CBP Innovation Office (CBP INVNT) and CBP program management offices to ensure the successful transition of new and emerging capabilities into CBP Operations or into new or existing Programs of Record.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree and 3-10 years of related experience.
  • Strong leadership and team-building strengths.
  • Experience in managing or working on large-scale DoD projects and risk management processes.
  • Experience with implementing DoD digital engineering guidance and best practices such as DoDI 5000.97.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and systems modeling languages such as SysML, UPDM, UAF, Python, Java, C++, etc.
  • Experience with Agile Development methods.
  • Excellent consulting, written, and verbal communication skills to support and manage customers and clients.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented, and able to coordinate and work with a dynamic team and multiple stakeholders.
  • Active or ability to pass U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CBP enterprise, mission areas, acquisition programs and projects.
  • Familiarity across all phases of the DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).
  • Familiarity with DHS 102- 01- 001, Appendix B and the CBP Program Life Cycle Process Guide.

Clearance:

Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. .The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.

The salary range for this position is- $95,000-$166,000
