Summary:
The Associate Brand Manager (ABM / Sr ABM), Seasons has ownership and responsibility for the robust & high-visibility Valentines seasons. A Seasonal ABM / Sr ABM must be a strong leader of people in cross-functional assignments as he/she plays a leadership role throughout the corporation, coordinating with extensive cross-functional partners to ensure necessary actions occur in support of the Season. This individual also acts as the Seasonal expert to external parties, including agencies, customers, colleagues and partners.
This position requires strong analytical skills and an ability to translate analysis of the business into clear seasonal strategies affecting all major marketing variables. Those marketing variables include innovation, renovation, communication, portfolio evolution, retail programs, and any others that could affect the short- and long-term revenue, share, and profitability of the Season. Individuals must have a keen view of the external environment including trends impacting the Season, competitive assessments, and an understanding of both consumers and customers.
Responsibilities:
* National Seasonal Program strategy and executional plan development
* Analysis of business results and communication to Marketing & Sales organizations
* External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, market trends, and implications to Seasonal strategy
* Leadership of long- and short-term innovation & renovation projects that drive Seasonal program
* Leadership of Seasonal planning inputs to drive total OPM / Seasons monthly & annual Consensus
* Leadership of Seasonal Execution Planning including packaging and merchandising unit artwork readiness, Supply Chain planning inputs, production / consensus tracking, and POS distribution
* Owner of Season annual budget, providing input into annual total Seasons Team budget planning
* Ownership of other activities that drive their Seasonal business
* Personal training and development.
Qualifications:
Education:
* MBA required externally
* Internal Hershey experience in lieu of MBA
Experience/ Skills:
* At least 3 years of related work experience
* Superior leadership skills, analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and planning
* Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach
* Ability to nurture and contribute to innovation and creative solutions
* Demonstrated ability to be accountable for sales and income results
* Strong verbal and written communicator to a wide breadth of audiences including senior management
* Lifelong learner with potential to be a strong people developer
