Job Summary:
The Medical Education Office at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH) is seeking a director that will lead a Community for Innovation, Scholarship and Research (CISR) in undergraduate medical education. This new position will lead a broad range of medical education scholarship efforts focused on our medical student education program teaching and learning, innovations and longitudinal outcomes. CISR will encompass the full spectrum of medical education scholarship from small curricular quality improvement projects that improve specific practices, innovation projects that explore new ideas or approaches, to large systematic research investigations that serve to create new knowledge and extend the field of medical education. Responsibilities: Assists with the oversight and strategic planning for a center or program and may assist with directing a variety of research activities. Allocates resources, secures funding, and supervises staff to ensure program strategies and activities align with the institutional mission.
