Product Manager Associate

Position Description

As a Product Manager Associate your role will be to execute elements of the product management strategy for a product category. You will support development and execution of a multi-year product plan and portfolio strategy including new product introductions, product lifecycle management and profitability. You will contribute to the creation of product and technology roadmaps by evaluating and analyzing key customer needs, market trends and competitive intelligence. You will also manage technical communication and coordination between all business functions.

You will do this by:
  • Execute tactical elements of product line strategies, as well as the justification and prioritization of new product development initiatives for assigned products

  • Manage product development programs within the New Product Development (NPD) Process

  • Collaborate to develop multi-year product plans and update technology roadmaps for innovation planning 5+ years out

  • Coordinate with marketing to capture and assess the Voice of Customer (VoC) y for new products or product changes

  • Provide product knowledge for sales calls, sales literature/documentation and trade shows, as well as engineering and customer support questions

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of product and business strategy presentations

  • Maintain and reports out on product line metrics

  • Participate in cost reduction and profit improvement efforts

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical information to diverse groups of people; excellent presentation skills

  • Ability to collaborate and influence within and outside the organization

  • Strong business acumen, ability to build a financial business case and understanding of financial principles including return-on-investment,Contribution margin, and EBITDA. Ability and some experience using business analysis (in Excel or Google Sheets) or business intelligence tools.

  • Experience and ability to communicate effectively in technical as well as business domains and able to translate between the two.

  • Previous experience with a cross-functional team to launch new products

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum three years of experience in product management, new product development, manufacturing, marketing or related field.

  • Three years experience with global markets preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements
May require travel of a planned or urgent nature, both international and domestic
