The Material Coordinator receives/reviews, inspects, and ships products and equipment on behalf of SCMS and their customer Bio-Watch. Compiles and maintains database records of quantity, cost, and type of material received, stored, and issued, and coordinates with SCMS Project Manager and Bio-Watch customer for onsite repair and calibration work of field equipment.



  • Assists in the shipping of all supplies and equipment for Laboratories and Field Teams.
  • Compares information on requisitions, invoices, and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify the accuracy of the order. Inspects, accepts, or rejects material received.
  • Compiles and maintains an inventory of Customer consumables stored,
  • Ensures that material in the inventory database physically matches on-hand quantities ranging from consumables, reagents, equipment, instruments, and supportive hardware.
  • Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancy and communicates with SCMS Project Manager.
  • Maintains and monitors Customer's requisition requests (items not in stock at the warehouse)
  • Troubleshoots inventory and procurement issues. Resolve issues and complaints at the lowest level. Refers clients to proper channels.
  • Tracks shipments and provides detailed information on back-order status to SCMS staff and Customers on a timely basis.
  • Generates weekly reports database that reflects current inventory, order starters, and backorders.
  • Assists in the coordination of disposition of expired material or equipment not in use.
  • Attends the bi-monthly Bio-Watch Customer and SCMS staff meetings and participates in all activities/events.
  • Processes returned and discrepant material from the customer. Manages and coordinates return to vendor procedures, restocking of returned items, and ensuring proper filing of returned item documents.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
  • Completes and maintains all required Didlake and SCMS training.
