Role Summary:
The purpose of this position is to help MCC students in workforce programs experience success through achieving their educational and career goals. This position is responsible for providing proactive advice and student enrollment for students with declared programs; promoting academic and/or financial independence skills to students, making referrals to other appropriate program or department representatives, external agencies; and other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:
The position will not have direct supervisory responsibility but will be responsible for assisting with the design and implementation of processes and systems utilized in the daily operation of Workforce Development and Community Outreach Initiatives. May serve as formal work group leader for staff, student workers, interns, and consultants.
Minimum Requirements
1. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, human services, education or related field.
2. One (1) year of professional experience in a related role in education, human services, or business.
3. Must possess good organizational skills and be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Suites (word, excel, PowerPoint), Google Suites (zoom, google meet), web-based software and resources.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
1. Previous experience working with grant or performance-based programs with a record of successfully meeting outcomes and metrics.
2. Prior experience working with adult learners.
3. Job Development and/or job placement experience preferred.
4. Prior experience working in, or with, staffing, HR or placement industry.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  2. The person in this position needs to move about both inside the office and at other locations where interviews and meetings are conducted.
  3. Frequently operates a computer for extended periods of time.
  4. Frequently communicates with others over the phone and in person; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  5. Ability to speak clearly and communicate proficiently in English.



Work Schedule
Must be willing to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, and evenings or weekends as needed.

This position is grant funded. This grant, and consequently this position, may be terminated at any time if the grantor determines that performance measures are not being adequately met. Employee performance will be measured by the program's successful outcomes and the appropriate documentation thereof.

In addition, as a grant-funded, non-union employee, the selected candidate's employment is at-will and the employment relationship may be ended by either party ( MCC or the employee) at any time, with or without notice.

Selected candidates must submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
