Responsibilities Diagnoses and treats individuals with psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders. Key Responsibilities: Directs the interdisciplinary team in alignment with PrairieCare's treatment programs and core philosophy. Ensures the provision of high-quality care to adults, adolescents, children, and their families dealing with psychiatric and substance use disorders, in accordance with granted Medical Staff privileges. Services may be provided in various settings, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient programs. Familiarizes oneself with available follow-up resource services for adults, adolescents, and children. Conducts individual and family therapy sessions. Qualifications Must hold a valid medical license from the State of Minnesota. Completion of an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency is required. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Ability to maintain necessary medical staff privileges and malpractice insurance. Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders in adults, adolescents, and children, as well as advanced principles of abnormal psychology. Capable of handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality. Proficient in summarizing relevant clinical information through written communication and medical documentation. Competent in using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook. Able to navigate and utilize the intranet site as needed. Skilled at transitioning smoothly and quickly between different tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond swiftly and calmly as part of a team in volatile or emergency situations. Capable of making sound decisions under stress. After training, must be able to manage disruptive and aggressive patients. DEA registration is required. Pay range for this position is $300,000 to $325,000 depending on education and experience.
