*Description*
Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Field Services Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong desire to provide excellent customer service to our staff and students. As an IT Field Services Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance services to all MNPS facilities. This opening will be mainly supporting schools located Southeast & Southwest Quadrants of the Davidson County School District. Responsibilities: * Provide on-site technical support and maintenance services to all MNPS facilities * Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripherals * Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and other software * Assist with network connectivity and related issues * Perform hardware and software upgrades and replacements * Ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data * Provide end-user training and support * Communicate effectively with staff and management to provide timely resolution of technical issues * Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of MNPS technology systems Qualifications: * A+ Certification * At least 2-3 years of experience in IT support or related field * Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Suite * Experience with network connectivity and troubleshooting * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Strong problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required *Skills* Desktop, Windows 10, Troubleshooting, Hardware, Customer service, Support, Active directory, Technical support, Help desk support *Top Skills Details* Desktop,Windows 10,Troubleshooting,Hardware,Customer service *Additional Skills & Qualifications* - Provides end-user support services - installs, configures, repairs, and supports end-user technology systems, equipment, and software in accordance with standardized MNPS procedures. Prioritizes information technology support work based on the impact to the teaching and learning process. Performs other day-to- day tasks as needed. - Documents repair actions, customer support tasks and other activities in accordance with established MNPS policies and procedures. Submits periodic reports as required. - Processes equipment requiring repairs in accordance with MNPS policies - Resolves basic network problems The ideal candidate for this role will be able to carry at least 50lbs and will need to be on their feet moving throughout school buildings throughout the day. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
