Purpose: Provides a critical layer between the partner, business, and Information Technology teams with responsibility to gather, analyze, evaluate, and document the business, functional, technical, security, performance, training, and data mapping requirements needed to effectively deliver data ingestion, financial reporting, and analytics for Program Business. Responsibilities will span both project and production support activities. The role will have a dotted line to AMIG EIM's Data Requirement Manager. The role will be accountable for ensuring all required requirements artifacts are completed in accordance with company standards and methodologies Roles & Responsibilities: Business Analyst Responsibilities include:
- Work with other analysts, technical leads, system testing and/or IT managers to produce project estimates for IT efforts
- Conduct requirement gathering and gap analysis activities for IT projects and relevant maintenance and support initiatives
- Create business requirements, functional requirements, and data mapping documents as required for projects and / or production support.
- Track, manage, and report issues and scope changes on small maintenance efforts
- Identify continuous process improvement opportunities and operationalize solutions for same
- Create and maintain relevant documentation for software changes to ensure long-term maintainability
- Follow established guidelines and processes for project methodologies utilized in delivery
- Leverage a variety of requirement related skills to facilitate the gathering of business requirements such as Process Flows, Gap Analysis, root cause assessment
- Assist in the creation of test cases and test data for, and the execution of Unit, Integration, system and end user testing.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong in writing SQL queries and SQL Analytical Functions for level 2 and lead roles.
- Experience in using task management tools such as Azure DevOps (VSTS) or similar tools
- Minimum 1 year experience for level 1, 3 years level 2 and 5 years for lead level - analysis experience in Datawarehouse or Data Ingestion projects
- Strong analytical ability and problem solving capabilities
- Familiarity with data modeling principles, data governance principles and ETL practices for level 2 and lead
- Ability to facilitate working sessions and collaborative activities driving to resolution and conclusion
- Understanding of financial reporting systems, like general ledger required for level 2 and lead.
- Excellent working knowledge in business requirements, functional requirements, and data mapping.
- Agile/Scrum Experience and familiarity with project management practices
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, Visio
